Our Reaper Rig will take your fishing to a whole new level.
It is strong, easy to use, fast to re-bait and incredibly effective when it comes to fishing for pelagic species. Designed for medium baits in the 6-10" range (Ballyhoo 10" plus will work perfectly with the medium rig).
Our Reaper Rig (with hooks and hardware), comes with:
- 1x Reaper Rig (aluminium style head) (bare head weight is 1oz)
- 1x Skirt on a 60lb crimped Multi-Strand Stainless Steel Wire Leader Trace (choice of Skirt colour; pink, lumo or red/silver)
- 2x Size 2 Treble Hooks (the rear stinger on a 60lb Stainless Steel Wire Trace)
The Reaper Rig will bring your dead bait such as Ballyhoo and Pilchards back to life. The unique design creates a hyper realistic swimming motion that is highly consistent. It’s most effective operating range is 3-5 knots which makes it ideal for trolling behind kayaks, jet skis and boats. Faster speeds are possible but the longevity of the bait can be compromised as a result.

What makes the Reaper Rig the best dead bait lure on the market? For one, the swimming motion is better and more consistent than rival lures. That makes it incredibly effective at attracting and catching fish. But that’s not its only advantage. It is also incredibly easy to use and fast to re-bait. A Grim Reaper-inspired scythe makes it simple to securely fit the dead bait to the rig. That means less time re-baiting and more time fishing when you’re out on the water. And the bait will also sit correctly in the rig and won’t spin in the water.
It is also stronger than rival lures thanks to the laser cut stainless steel scythe and through rod. And the body of the rig is made out of aluminium, making it more durable and environmentally friendly than inferior products made out of plastic.

Freaken Awesome! Did reRig it with heavy wire and next size up treble with a larger huchi! In the Gulf of Mexico a lot of King Macheral and things with teeth that will tear through light wire! Action as Advertised! I lovee to fly line live bait! Thow a large ne for Mullet, Pogies and Croker so what Dies comes back alive with these rigs! STOKED Just ordered 3 more!!!

perhaps it was me but i expected it to be a lot bigger.....
Saw the rigs on a few social media sites and figured let’s see what those Aussie boys are doing! I’ve fished all over the world and seen tons of different techniques used, this is a game changer! We used to spend hours rigging before tournaments or charters, it’s down to minutes now. My mate and rigger used this one time and were hooked harder than the fish! The next trip at 4am I asked them how many baits they rigged the night before, they said none we have those reapers! I said nope we are old school today… I let another boat try them for today. My rigger proceeded to grab his keys to go take the lures back saying I’ll never rig another bait without a reaper again they can’t have them! Every lure company says they have cracked the code on what the fish like and want and I’ve heard every company tell me the same story at every tackle store or show for 28 years and this is the first one that I can see a clear difference in the amount and size of the fish it catches. We ran these on a spread on the port side of the boat and traditional ballyhoos on the starboard. What did the fish hit every single time? The reaper. Moved them to the other side fish hit them! Tried with artificial lures…. Reapers win again! No matter what you are fishing- king, tuna, mahi, wahoo they constantly hit the reapers! I’ll say this in 28 years of professional tournaments and charter fishing I’ve left reviews of two products this one and a software program out of the thousands I’ve tested, to say the least I’m picky on what I endorse. I fully endorse this lure! 100% The Aussie boys are on to something here!
